Front of the House Restaurant Manager Requirements
Educational Background
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
Experience
Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles.
Experience in customer service and front-of-house operations.
Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Knowledge of menu planning and food and beverage pairings.
Familiarity with budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management.
Certifications
Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent.
Responsible Beverage Service Certification (if applicable).
Personal Attributes
Passion for the restaurant industry and customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
